ADOPTION

Adopting an animal is a really great and rewarding way of finding your new pet as rescue animals are special and have so much love and devotion to give to a new owner. All the animals at Ard Jerkyll are given a full MOT before they are re-homed so they are ready to start their new life with all the advantages we – and you – can give them.

Vaccinated, microchipped wormed and neutered
Examined by a vet and treated as required
Assessed by an experienced member of our team to determine what type of training and education they need
Given an individual training plan depending on their needs
Given an individual profile to help match them with their new owner

We’d love you to come and see us. Visitors are welcome to walk around the site, cattery and small animal section during our animal visiting hours, that’s 1 to 4 every day, except for Thursdays. We do, however, operate restricted viewing of the dogs to minimise their stress levels.

Rossi is a cute boy who is looking for his new home. He is a sweet cat and affectionate boy, but like many cats he gets stressed when being picked up and can scratch and may bite when over stimulated. He prefers attention on his terms and his new owners will need to be understanding of his change in body language once he’s had enough of a fuss. He is used to going outdoors and enjoys spending time outside and also loves to snuggle up in a comfy bed.

Rossi has arthritis in his back legs and hips which he is receiving daily pain relief and anti inflammatory medication in his food for, as well as joint supplements. He also has Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and has recently started medication for this.

*Please note that this cat does have pre-existing medical conditions. We recommend doing research regarding this before applying to adopt. Cattery staff may be able to advise.

If you are interested in Rossi, please contact the cattery team via email (cattery@manxspca.com) and complete a Home Finder Questionnaire Form, so staff can arrange a individual meet if suitable. We are open for general animal viewing 1-4pm everyday, except Mondays and Thursdays.
