Pet Guardian Care Scheme
By registering your pet, or pets, into our Care Scheme you will have peace of mind that they will be taken care of and placed into new a home(s) by the ManxSPCA.
As part of the Pet Guardian Care Scheme we will do everything we can to ensure that your pet is settled into a happy home, with loving, suitable owners, when you are no longer able to care for him/her yourself.

Dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats and gerbils, fish and small exotics. Other pets may be considered on a case by case basis.
Up to four pets can be registered at any one time.
The service is free of charge, but please remember that the Society is reliant upon donations to provide its services and that it does not receive Government funding. We would be grateful if you could consider remembering the ManxSPCA in your Will, but THIS IS NOT a requirement for registering on the Care Scheme.
The Society will do its best to find your pet a loving home, in as short a time as possible. Your pet may come into the Society’s rehoming centre, Ard Jerkyll, or be placed in a home on a temporary basis with a Pet Guardian. The Society will then do its bets to find a permanent adoptive home, and provide appropriate advice and support to the new owners.
-
You will need to complete an application form for each pet. These forms are available from the ManxSPCA, Ard Jerkyll, East Foxdale, Isle of Man, IM4 3HL, or you can request one by calling 851672 or emailing info@manxspca.com
-
Once the ManxSPCA has received your application form(s) you will be sent a Care Scheme Card that you should keep safe. The card will carry your name and your pet’s name, and instructions about how to inform the ManxSPCA in the event of an emergency.
-
Your details will be held securely by the ManxSPCA, and not shared with any third party.
