Why are we so busy?
Social media has made it easier than ever for animals to be advertised for rehoming, which can be a wonderful tool when used responsibly. But finding a home isn’t simply about finding someone who wants an animal – it’s about finding the right home for that individual animal.
We put the animal first.
Every animal coming into our care is assessed and seen by a Vet. They receive a health check, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, a microchip and, where appropriate, are neutered or spayed.
Then comes one of the most important parts: finding the right match.
Our adoption process isn’t designed to make things difficult. It’s there to make sure the animal and their new family are a good fit.
Every animal is different. Some may need an active household, some may prefer a quieter home, some may be happiest as the only pet, while others thrive with canine or feline companions. We take their individual needs, personality and circumstances into consideration before finding their forever home.
Timing matters too.
Summer is often a particularly busy time for animal rescues, and we can see an increase in animals coming into our care for a variety of reasons.
That’s why we’re asking you to help us promote adoption done the right way.
