Reason for Rehoming: Unexpected circumstances
Meet Hacker, an 8 month old German Shepherd x Belgian Malinois.
Hacker is looking for a very experienced home, willing to make sure his activity needs are met daily, Hacker has shown us he has a natural talent when it comes to Scent work, Obedience and Agility and we would highly encourage his new adopters to make sure he gets to excel in these activities. Hacker is very friendly and confident with people and always wants to say hello, although he still hasn’t learnt to not jump up on people. Hacker has never been inside a house before so would need owners with a lot of patience and time to help him settle.
Hacker is a very fast learner who is always eager to please his handler however he is easily over stimulated when introduced to new objects but soon calms down and is progressing well with his desensitisation. Offsite, Hacker is still very overstimulated and will need a lot of help adjusting to the outside world, He can be fearful of new things like flags but he has made some progress. Hacker has had little to no socialisation up until recently, and it is most noticeable when he is around other dogs. He can be reactive on lead and he doesn’t know how to behave appropriately when being introduced. We would be happy to rehome him with another active, well rounded dog as long as there was the space to separate him in the home for a slow introduction.
Due to Hackers breed and lack of socialisation we would not rehome him with children or other small pets like cats.
