You can volunteer in so many different ways. Dog walking is great fun and much cheaper than the gym! Cats who are not used to human company need to be socialised but don’t worry, we advise you how to handle the animals and have strict rules regarding our dogs. Volunteers are not sent out with an animal that needs specialist care.

The grounds around Ard Jerkyll need to be maintained and looked after, especially in the summer months. We have a sit-on lawnmower for volunteers to use and various tools – we just need the man (or woman) power to go with them.

​We always need volunteers to work in our charity shops in Douglas and Ramsey, where you can sort donated items or advise customers on their selections … and be part of a fun team. And if you have time to help out at fundraising events, we’d love to hear from you …
