Meet Our Board Members

The Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is an Isle of Man registered Charity, number 26A, and an Isle of Man registered Company Limited by Guarantee, number 086297C. It has the following Board members, who give their time voluntarily and who are both the Charity’s Trustees and Company Directors:

Sue Waring

Assistant Treasurer
Sue has served on the ManxSPCA board for well over 20 years and has contributed an inordinate amount of expertise, energy and wisdom to the Society in that time.

Phillip Dearden 

Acting Chair & Treasurer
Phillip, a Chartered Accountant and previously a Director of Equiom, West Corporation and PKF Isle of Man, joined the board in November 2016

Debbie Clague

Company Secretary
Debbie, a director of Crowe Clark Whitehill and a Chartered Accountant, took up her role on the Board in October 2016.

Daren Ward

Member
Daren joined the Board in July 2017. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has professional expertise in a range of areas including investment management and engineering.

Jagoda Barber

Member
Jagoda joined the Board in 2024. She is a data analyst and project manager by profession, with experience across several sectors.

Iain Bell

Member
Iain joined the Board in 2024. He is a security and compliance consultant, and has worked in a variety of sectors including telecoms and insurance.

Mary Hatcher

Member

Mary was co-opted onto the Board in March 2026. She is a Manx advocate and works for Hannan Law, specialising in family law. Mary also has a wealth of experience in the retail sector.

Taylor Gentile-Wilson

Member
Taylor joined the Board in March 2025. She is able to provide legal expertise, in particular, by virtue of her role as a trainee advocate with a large local firm.
