Each year we are incredibly lucky to have workplaces choose the ManxSPCA as one of their charities of choice to support. Their fundraising and support is a wonderful addition for the charity and enables us to continue the required care for all animals we see to.

One idea we love to share and encourage that all can take part in that costs money to set up is a POP-UP CHARITY SHOP. 

It’s simple to create your own ‘Pop-Up Charity Shop’ in your workplace:

– Place a clothes recycle box in a commonly used area like a staff room or canteen.

– Encourage colleagues and their families to donate their unwanted clothes and accessories over a few weeks (don’t forget to remind them that the clothes must be in good condition and clean!)

– Set a date for your Pop-Up charity shop to open (this could be every lunch hour for a week; or the last Friday of a given month), and let everyone know.

Not only will you raise funds to help animals in need, you will also encourage people to recycle and reuse, and help the environment in the process.
