ManxSPCA Christmas Appeal 2017

November 6, 2017 at 11: 10 am by Kerry

Help animals like Snowy.

He was found in the Summer of 2016 with more than 60% of his fur missing, and what was left of it was matted and infected. Every step he took was painful and he had suffered months, if not years, of neglect at the hands of his owner.

Snowy stayed with the ManxSPCA for 14 months and he was restored to full health, both physically and psychologically. He needed intensive medical treatment as well as lots of daily TLC from staff and volunteers. During this time the Police and the ManxSPCA were able to successfully prosecute his owner, who received a custodial sentence in October 2017, and Snowy was finally able to go to a loving new home where he will spend the rest of his life.

Across November and December, almost 250 animals like Snowy will sleep at the ManxSPCA’s Ard Jerkyll shelter, which is why we have launched our Christmas Appeal.

You might not be able to give every animal a home, but your kind gift will help us to provide animals with the care they so desperately need until they can find their forever family. Please give the gift of kindness this Christmas and help homeless animals in need.
